Registration 8:30 - 9 am Where: BCIT (Student Association Campus Centre Building) Who: ¨ Open¨ to all players not older than 18 years of age as of January 1st, 2002 residing both North and South of the Fraser River (i.e. Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Haney, Langley, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, North, Vancouver, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Surrey, Vancouver, West Vancouver, Whalley, White Rock, Whonnock) |

Sections: by age as of January 1st, 2002: U10, U12, U14, U16, U18. Girls and
boys play together, but are in separate categories for purposes of prizes
and qualification.
Format: 5 Rounds Swiss-style; time control minimum G/45; ½ point byes may be
requested for all but the last round
Prizes and qualifications: trophies and/or cash; financial support in connection with
Provincial Championships (May 5th in Victoria) and National Championships
(July 9 - 12 in Montreal).
